Scope of Apache CommonsOn June 20, 2007, the Apache Board voted to promote the Jakarta Commons subproject to Apache Commons. D. Establish the Apache Commons project WHEREAS, the Board of Directors deems it to be in the best interests of the Foundation and consistent with the Foundation's purpose to establish a Project Management Committee charged with the creation and maintenance of Java focused reusable libraries and components. Special Order 6D, Establish the Apache Commons project, was approved by Unanimous Vote. This defines the scope of Apache Commons. Apache Commons 'Charter'The Apache Commons PMC may decide to focus the scope further via various policies, rules and guidelines that will appear below. For posterity, the Jakarta Commons Charter is kept as a part of this website. Currently no such refinements apply. |
